Female porn performers who restrict themselves to working only with women seem reconciled to a certain ceiling on their fame, but the actresses who succeed despite those traditionally money-losing limits are the envy of just about every porn girl I know and the ideal partner for every porn guy I know.

I was about to say that Daisy Marie, Penthouse Pet and late-nite Skinemax star, is such a person. But it was because I confused her with Faith Leon, another delicious Latina actress. It is Leon who is Girls-Only.

Daisy Marie, on the other hand - and to her credit, if I may so as someone who is not married to her - fucks everybody.

In just one generation, the fact that one’s girlfriend is also into girls has gone from the “Possible Contributor to Eventual Breakup” column to “Hot.” Who knows? Maybe by 2020 “Fucks Your Best Friend” will go from being a negative to a positive. I’m hoping I’ll be dead by then, or have a best friend who’s also a hot girl.

Bite my finger

It was in a Robby D. video where I first felt like someone else’s P.O.V. didn’t necessarily reflect mine.

“I don’t talk that way,” I thought, watching Robby D.’s hand come out from behind the camera he was holding to paw at the talent.

Now don’t get me wrong, Robby D. is a fantastic - if prickly - director in many porn genres. I would just grow weary of his gonzo P.O.V. style - too talky and grabby.

So when I encountered the game and lovely Stoya in a bathroom the other day I asked her to show me what got Robby D. all mouth-breathey in those ancient “Jack’s Playground” videos.

Because my vision is nothing if not selective, the first thing I noticed in this picture was Bobbi Starr’s thoughtful face and full, manageable breasts. But…what was…in her mouth?

Why, none other than the mammoth-cocked Shane Diesel, of course! I hesitated to post this picture because it simply doesn’t look like part of a human being in this photo as much as it does some kind of fleshy stalagmite that, for whatever reason, the considerate and kind Starr is gagging herself on.

In their scene together, Diesel and Starr roll up in his 6-4 and get busy. My purpose in actually wartching the scene was to see if that appendage hadn’t been Photococked to appear bigger.

It hasn’t. But the camera definitely got closer to force the perspective. Still, it’s huge.

Having never seen a Shane Diesel movie before, I wanted to make sure he was kind. Because Bobbi Starr is America’s Sweetheart. And he is. Diesel is very nice to her. That’s all that matters.

Now and then we receive compilation DVDs like New Sensations’ “Fantasy All-Stars 8,” featuring everyone from stars-of-the-moment like Ashlynn Brooke, Alexis Texas, and Gianna, veterans along the lines of Jenna Haze and Katie Morgan, and (virtual) retirees like Carmen Luvana, whose scene with Randy Spears from “Carmen Goes to College” is one of the 12 offerings on this two-DVD set.

As you’ve doubtless heard, it’s not as easy selling porn today as it used to be, what with so much of it just being given away on the Internet, so compilations abound, and even if they’re not very good, it’s not like producers have to worry about paying residuals to the performers. Luckily, “Fantasy All-Stars 8″ is worth your cash even if, like many comps, what it doesn’t provide is context.

That said, I’ll make one for you.

Carmen’s scene was filmed in 2002, a few years before she moved from being the face of New Sensations to being an even more famous contract star for Adam & Eve, from which she (more or less) stepped aside this year. “We’ll see her now and then,” an Adam & Eve source said, “but she needed a break from the adult business.”

So in this compilation we see Luvana between boob jobs and before she became a huge star. Incidentally, we also see Spears in a non-Wicked movie, which would not happen today now that he is exclusive to that company.

This is one of those DVDs that unintentionally provides a snapshot of several generations of porn stars, since turnover in porn is so fast. We see Julia Bond and Lacie Heart (later to be a Vivid and Digital Playground contract player), both no longer in the business, as well as Ava Rose before her own Adam & Eve contract. And, not for nothing, even if Eva Angelina probably has hundreds of scenes “in the can” prior to her impending motherhood this fall, what better time than now to begin hoarding her scenes, too?
